Every time I pick up a paintbrush, it's an opportunity to share a bit of myself.  The challenge of creating is a genuine delight.  My personal measure of whether I've succeeded is whether I would be proud to hang a piece in my own home. 

I began painting after a lifetime of appreciating what art communicates.  Retiring from General Motors after 31 years with a career focused on finance and marketing, gave me the time to try something entirely different.  What a rush to have no boundaries and the freedom to pick and choose what I want to work on!  I had the good fortune to study with some wonderful instructors like Gabrielle Hirsch and Jan Schaeffer.  They taught me the basics and it's been non-stop ever since.

I work predominantly with acrylic, oil and mixed media.  Discovering new ways to catch a viewers eye with the use of unusual textures, blends, materials and more is always the goal.  I'm proud to say several have taken awards in various juried shows. 

Rather than focusing on a specific style or genre, I tend to be on a winding path that allows me to try a little bit of everything.  The result is the eclectic portfolio of original pieces you're seeing on this website.  My work can be found in private, public and commercial venues across the U.S. and Canada.
